Rhanderson Cardoso, MD, FACC

Médico formado pela Universidade Federal de Goiás, concluiu residência em Clínica Médica na University of Miami, no Jackson Memorial Hospital, onde também atuou como Chief Resident. Posteriormente, realizou residência em Cardiologia no Johns Hopkins Hospital, além de obter o título de Master in Health Sciences pela Bloomberg School of Public Health, da Johns Hopkins University. Seguiu sua formação com fellowship em Imagem Cardíaca no Brigham and Women’s Hospital, afiliado à Harvard Medical School, onde também exerceu a função de Chief Fellow em Imagem Cardíaca.


É autor de mais de 90 artigos publicados em revistas científicas indexadas, com mais de 2.700 citações no Google Scholar. Seus trabalhos foram publicados em periódicos de alto impacto, como American Journal of Cardiology, Annals of Internal Medicine, Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Heart Rhythm, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Nature Reviews Cardiology e Stroke.

Rhanderson Cardoso, MD, is a Cardiologist at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA, USA. He finished his training in Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also pursued a MHS in Cardiovascular Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.






He is from the countryside of northern Brazil, in the states of Goias and Tocantins. With a strong work ethic and great dedication, he overcame several obstacles to graduate medical school at the Federal University of Goias, followed by an international career in the USA. Currently, he has over 90 publications in PubMed, more than 250 abstracts in medical conferences, and over 2800 citations on Google Scholar. His work has been cited by international guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Gastroenterology, and many others.






Rhanderson Cardoso is also passionate about teaching. He was chief resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami and has given classes in Evidence Based Medicine training courses at Duke University, NC, USA, and the University of Miami, FL, USA.



Today, he shares his experience with medical students, residents, and fellows at his clinical work, and also internationally through the ECG Academy, the Publication Roadmap, and the Meta-Analysis Academy. The latter is focused on teaching a unique, distinguished research method to students who want to conduct impactful research independently.
